Adventure

Don’t you just love going and seeing new things! We are venturing soon to the lovely State of Colorado, far different than Texas! I’m excited to do as much Plein Air painting as I can! Plein air painting is an adventure that I love! The fresh air, the amazing sights, chatting with people, there’s just nothing like it!

I’ve spent so much time trying to decide what art supplies to bring! I have decided on watercolor and gouache to be my main mediums. I bought a new watercolor journal as well as watercolor paper. Travel easel or no, I still haven’t decided whether I'll really use it or not. I have been trying different colors of paint. It is fun to imagine, play with different color combinations trying to foresee which colors will be most suited for the trip. I think that I've finally nailed down my color choices (hoping that I chose correctly). 

My wonderful husband, Steve, has been planing our trip! Where we will go, the things we will do. Hopefully we'll find the perfect places to set up and paint. He’s a great travel companion and always ready to go out scouting for just the perfect spot! Hoping that the aspens are changing colors! Wow, that would be a beautiful sight!
